~TRASH CAN CABBAGE~
May not sound to great but this is my all time fav go to diet recipe! I can make enough to eat lunch and dinner for a couple days for cheap. Its Low carb, Low fat, Low cal. and it is soooo healthy. This is a nutrient rich meal that will not only help you to lose weight but FILL YOU UP until your next meal time garanteed. If you dont like cabbage too bad for you, but if you do, You are in for a treat!
1 WHOLE CABBAGE
1 SMALL ONION CHOPPED FINE
1 FRESH JALAPENO (QUARTERED)
1 1/2 PACKAGE TURKEY SMOKED SAUSAGE CUBED
3 ROMA OR SMALL TOMATOES BOILED, SKINNED, AND DICED
2 TBS HONEY
2 TBS OLIVE OIL
SALT, BLACK PEPPER, AND CAYENNE TO TASTE
ON med high heat, Add olive oil, sausage, onion, pepper to large pot and sautee until begins to brown. Stir in seasoning, and honey. Add rest of the ingredients and mix well. Reduce heat. Cover. simmer until Cabbage is cooked.
NOTE: To keep from losing more nutrients do not overcook your cabbage.
